TEACH | EQUIP | EVANGELIZE
Our most direct way to TEACH and EQUIP our covenant children is through Sunday School. Our prayer is that, through the ministry of the Gospel, at an age appropriate level, our children would learn to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind.
What age range do we offer classes for?: We have classes for 2 year olds up through 5th graders.
**There is also a Youth Sunday School class for Middle and High School.**
What Curriculum do we use?: One Story: Investigating God’s Word… is a seven year comprehensive, Christ-centered Sunday School curriculum for kids. It is written by Dr. John Kwasny, the Director of Discipleship Ministries at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He is also an adjunct professor at Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson). The curriculum covers all of God’s Word, from Genesis to Revelation, in a systematic way so that by the time you finish the curriculum you would have read all of Scripture. God is the main character of every story and Christ' death and resurrection is always the focal point of each lesson. The hope is that both the children and the teachers will be captivated by God’s Word and grow in their love for the Lord together.
Note for Parents- Take Home Bookmarks: The children are sent home with a bookmark each week that includes the Scripture Memory as well as a short description of the lesson. I would encourage you guys to spend time each week discussing what your children learned in class and practice their memory verse. Spring 2024
Class Descriptions for Fall 2025:
- 2s, 3s and 4s class: The Fruit of the Spirit and My First Catechism
- 4s, 5s, and 6s class: Genesis
- 1st and 2nd Grade: Joshua
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade: 1 Kings 1-11; 2 Chronicles 1-9
